Jan Sadler,
founder of PainSupport

Jan Sadler is the Founder of the PainSupport website. Jan has lived with the challenges of back pain and sciatica for many years and so understands the experience of living with chronic pain. She lives in the UK where she has been working with people in pain since 1990.

Jan Sadler is a teacher and the author of books and CDs including 'Pain Relief Without Drugs', which is packed with self-help techniques for reducing pain and stress. Her innovative ideas and imaginative techniques have a proven track record over many years. The PainSupport website is recommended by many NHS hospital-based Pain Management Programmes.

Jan designed the PainSupport website to share her information on pain management with others. She writes in a straightforward way that is easy to understand. Jan also recognises the importance of contact with other people in a similar situation and the enormous benefits from the mutual support and understanding gained. For this reason, as well as pages of pain reducing techniques, the site features a Discussion Forum and also a Contact Club which enables people to find new friends.

The PainSupport website aims to help people in pain move forward in their lives with better pain self-management, with or without drugs, and to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, despite having pain.

Jan says,

“We don’t promise to take away all your pain but we can show you ways to get back in control so you are running your life and not the pain. Even if, like me, you have extremely limited 'sitting’ or ‘standing’ time it's amazing what you can achieve when you have learnt some basic self-management and pain reducing techniques.

“Start now by exploring the PainSupport website. Read and use some of the easy to follow pain reducing techniques, take up a fresh interest and begin working towards a new goal - and meet some new friends along the way. Good luck to everyone.
Jan Sadler”
